A trade mark is any sign capable of being
represented graphically which is capable of distinguishing goods or
services of one undertaking from those of other undertakings and
may, in particular, consist of words including personal names,
designs, letters, numerals or the shape of goods or their
packaging.
It is often easier to define what is not registrable
as a trade mark and brief details of the type of trade marks
excluded from registration are set out on further pages.
